Overly dramatic and maybe a little misleading, but effective at getting your attention, right? :)
This week has been a challenge as you may have inferred from the title of this post. Brittany and I have had to battle banks, close quarters, and tiny Honda Civic trunks to get here...but here we stand! In addition to playing Tetris with our belongings, we've had to wrestle with the depression that came from the news that our departure date has been pushed back another couple days. We so desperately want to start this adventure and having to wait has been unbearable!
HOWEVER! I'm not saying all this for pity or to discourage anyone. I have realized, once again this week, that we cannot do awesome things with our own strength. Anything good and worth while will require God's strength and permission for it to work. Trying to do things on my own this week only left me frustrated, irritable, and miserable. I beg anyone who reads this, let God's power shine through your weakness.
*Prayer Alert!: Steve Shoop (my new boss) is working for his 3-year old son, Seth, to become a U.S. citizen. The problem is, to do the necessary paperwork requires them to travel to Ciudad Juarez. For those unfamiliar, Ciudad Juarez is the most dangerous city in Mexico with something like 7,000 murders this year alone! He has lobbied his U.S. congressman and state senator trying to move the meeting elsewhere to no avail. Please pray for their safety!

P.S. The pictures of our apartment in boxes are now up :) (Our Life In Boxes)
I love you guys! Can't wait to hear from you once you get there :D
