Remember our friend Miguel?? He is the one that said he always wanted to go on a retreat to "have fun and learn more about God." So he went. He had fun. He learned more about God. Miguel had gone to a Catholic church and some stuff went down that he didn't think was right but as a young boy didn't know what to do with what he was witnessing. So he stopped going to church and 7 years later still wasn't going to church but knew he was missing something with his relationship with the Lord.

In February I started meeting with him in our English Club. (that's how we met) We met with students and practiced their English while we tried to find opportunities to share our faith in Jesus with them. We ended English club in May by listening to Phil Wickham's song "True Love". When class was over Miguel gave me a huge bear hug and thanked me for teaching him English. In my heart I prayed to the Lord and asked him that before I left that Miguel would give me another huge bear hug and thank me for telling him about Jesus. After all, that is why we are here in Mexico, to tell people about the sweet loving relationship Jesus offers every one of us. Fast forward 2 months, Kyle started meeting with Miguel 3 weeks before we left Mexico. They met once a week for a couple hours so Kyle could answer any questions Miguel had about church, Jesus, religion, ect. 2 weeks before we left Mexico Miguel prayed to receive Jesus as his personal Lord and savior :) Right before I left he gave me a huge bear hug and thanked me for telling him about Jesus. I could not have asked for a better closing to our time in Mexico.

In Luke 15 Jesus shares a parable about a lost sheep. “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?" Miguel was that lost sheep. Yes, preaching to a crowd of 700 people with hundreds of them giving their hearts to Jesus would be magical and amazing but you really get to see the personal heart the Lord has for each and every one of us when you and Him together wrestle for one lost sheep to come back home. Sincerely, thank you so much for all of your financial support and for all your prayers!! Together we were able to effect someone's eternal destiny. And that feels pretty good :)

We left Mexico last Friday. We drove 57 hours in 6 days arriving in Ellensburg, Washington yesterday afternoon. Our first impression: we are in love :) The people are super friendly and have been so helpful with showing us around and looking for an apartment. We did find an apartment today and applied for it. That is a huge weight off of our shoulders! The campus is beautiful!!!! We will take some pictures and post them as soon as we can.

We will be home soon. We fly to Ohio next Wednesday and will spend a week with the McAllister's in Medina.
We will be in town for John and Andrea's wedding (we are so excited to be able to see them get married!!!!!). We are hoping to have a supporter party so we can catch up with everyone. We will have a date shortly. We are also support raising while we are home and will be working on switching our accounts from AGWM to AGUSM. If you are automatic withdraw you should transition automatically. We will be in contact with you to make sure. If you send in a check we are still looking into where you send that. Just expect a phone call or a coffee date sometime while we are home to iron all this out. We are hoping and praying for a seamless transition.

Thank you for all of your support and being a part of what the Lord is doing through these hands and feet. May you feel His peace and awesome power today :)

PS: Here are some pictures of us at the

Grand Canyon. It was big and awesome and helped make God even bigger in my eyes :)
