Fall Quarter at CWU

Britt here--

It is truly disappointing how long it has been since we have sent out any kind of update! Its not like we have nothing to talk about or nothing encouraging to report about how the Lord is moving. Now it has been so long where do I start?!?

Lets see....In October I (Brittany) had the opportunity to carve pumpkins for the first time with some international students from Japan. It was a blast until my hands started turning pink and swelling....pumpkins: another thing to add to my list of allergies :)

At the end of October CWU also had its Fall Retreat, cleverly named....Fall Retreat :) It was a record breaking year with 69 students. The theme was "Emotions" which turned out to be more timely than we thought.

This quarter Kyle and I have been blessed to be-friend several Saudi Arabian students which has stirred Kyle's heart to learn Arabic more proficiently. Time will tell what this means in the long run. Until then we are sipping on Saudi coffee and dinning on the floor with our new friends.

As far as the internship goes, Kyle has been doing great :) He has excelled in his book reading, even asking for more than the once a week suggested reading! Leaders are readers ;) If you are interested in what he has been reading or would like to read any of the papers he has written including a 10 page paper on the Kingdom of God just shoot him an email and I am sure he would be happy to share. Today he interviewed students interested in going on the Spring Break mission trip which he and the other intern will be leading. Finals are this week and then he is off to a retreat for the area ministers.

Starbucks has been so much more than I expected!! I have had the AMAZING opportunity to not only start cool conversations about my faith with my co-workers but have started Holy Spirit inspired relationships with several of my regular customers. Please pray that these precious friendships lead to real conversations about Jesus and His love for us. Side note: I also got voted by my co-workers Employee of the Month for December! Praise Jesus!!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
