So how did we do??

So our goal last month was to raise $565 in monthly support.  At the time of our last post we were at $260.  How did we end the month?  We raised $405 leaving us just $160 below our goal. BUT we raised $405 last month!!!  Praise Jesus!!  We have now made up for the income we lost when Brittany left Starbucks.  Whew!  We need to remind ourselves that these goals are OUR monthly goals.  And having the money raised by April 2014 is OUR goal.

"Now listen, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.' Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.  Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”  As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil.  If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them." James 4:13-17

We believe it is the Lord's will for us to go to Athens and to re-pioneer Chi Alpha at Ohio University.  We are excited to see how He does it and in what kind of timing He chooses to do it in.  Until then, please continue to pray for us to have courage when reaching out to potential supporters.  Please pray for more contacts and for people to catch the vision of Chi Alpha.

This weekend we will be at Chi Alpha's fall retreat.  Brittany will be leading a session about how to love people you don't like. Kyle is sharing about the Gospel reaching us on its way to others and how to be more effective in our mission to reach people for Jesus.  Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
