Fall 2014 in Athens, Ohio

We wish you all could be on the campus of Ohio University right now to experience what the Lord has been doing!  Since we have arrived we have been contacted by several students interested in getting involved with Chi Alpha.  We were told by the previous OU Chi Alpha staff that in their 4 years on campus they were never contacted by students to get involved.  We have been able to connect these students with Natalie, our graduate student, who has been having dinner with them, going to football games and taking them to church.  We have also been attending church with several of them and have had them over to our place to help us paint and enjoy meals together.

We CANNOT wait for our budget to be complete so we can dive right in with discipleship and evangelism training.  Almost all of our students have voiced a desire to learn how to share their faith with their classmates.  Let us at 'em!  We would love to train and equip them! 

October is going to be a crazy month for us.  Here is how you can be praying for Chi Alpha at OU:

1) Fall Breakaway!!!  This weekend (October 10th-12th) is Chi Alpha's fall retreat.  We were hoping to bring 3 students with us and even this number we thought would be a stretch!  The Lord has been stirring the hearts of our students and we are taking 7!!!  Please pray that they would experience the presence of the Living God and would come back to OU pumped and excited for what the Lord can do here.  

2) Our schedule!!!  We will be traveling around the state of Ohio trying to finish the last 7% of our budget.  We will be attending 11 of the 14 Celebration Tours across the state which is a yearly gathering of AG pastors to celebrate what the Lord has done and is doing in Ohio churches.

Please pray for the last $350 in monthly support to come in this month! This way we can start ministry right away in November. Also, please pray for us as we are away from home and traveling quite a bit this month. We want to remain energetic and healthy! Thank you so much!!!
