By The Way :)

Hello Friends and Family!

It's been a while since my last post and I just wanted to let everyone know how things are going here in Mexico.

First, I am so pleased to report that as we have continued to give surveys on the university campuses we have begun to see breakthrough. I believe that our witness has become increasingly effective as students have acknowledged that our arguments are valid and that they need to consider their eternity.

However, of those breakthroughs, none has been more exciting and rewarding than the one we saw last Thursday. One of our Punto students and I had the opportunity to pray with a guy at the architecture & design campus for salvation after giving him the survey! It was very apparent that the Holy Spirit used the survey as a means to convict him with regard to the way he was living his life. Afterward, he came to our weekly bible study and we were able to give him a Bible and encourage him. What a blessing! We are hoping that this is just the first of many people who will make a decision to serve God because of Punto de Encuentro here in Guadalajara.

BY THE WAY...Speaking of Guadalajara...

Did you know that there is a Mexican look-a-like for every person in the United States? It's true! We have seen Mexican doubles of so many of our friends and family members while we've been down here...it's uncanny!!! We've even seen Mexican doubles of famous people. For example, the guy who plays the drums at our church looks JUST like Jeff Goldblum! To prove my point, here are two pictures.

Above: Jeff Goldblum
Below: Church Drummer

Ok, so they're both pictures of Jeff Goldblum, but I promise the guy at our church looks just like him!...only Mexican.
Be careful though, you never know when we could post a picture of YOUR look-a-like all over our blog! :)

Prayer Requests:

Please pray that Anibal (the guy who accepted Jesus) would continue to come to the bible study and that his schedule would be open for him to come to our retreat next weekend.
On that note, please pray also that the retreat would go well next weekend. We are going to be giving a lot of good teaching and we really want all the students to GET IT. We will also be praying for students to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, so please pray that the Lord's presence would be with us.

That's all for now folks! Please keep praying and we'll see you in no time :)

  1. That's an awesome report! You've got to be excited! As far as look-alikes...when we were in El Salvador, we had a guy working with us that looked just like Antonio Banderas from Zoro. Everyone wanted their picture taken with him!

  2. So proud of you two! Certainly couldn't ask for more from your experience in Mexico. Remember - one salvation is worth a thousand! At least, it might as well be. :) Love to hear of the progress - after all, it's why you are down there. However, sure looking forward to having your work your miracles through Jesus here stateside even more (especially close to Medina, Ohio - hint hint!) Happy Easter - can't even begin to tell you how much we miss you and wish you were here!!!! Love you so much! Mom, Dad & Brothers 3, plus sister in law 1 and one awesome newphew !!!!!
