You Are In On It Too!

While David and his men were out of town the Amalekites came into their camp, burned it and took captive the women and all who were in the camp (the sons and daughters).
Could you imagine coming home and all that you loved was gone?
Your home destroyed?
David's men wanted to stone him to death.  What did David do?  He "found strength in the Lord his God." 1 Sam 30:6 God said, "Ya, go fight the Amalekites and get your families back."  David rallied his men and went after what was theirs.  Part way to the Amalekite camp 1/3 of David's men were too tired to carry on.  So David graciously told the men to wait there with the supplies and the other 2/3 pursued on.  The rest of the story is great!  They get back all the women and the children and of course more plunder.  Everyone is heading back and when the men reach the guys who were with the supplies they don't want to share the plunder.  "Because they did not go out with us, we will not share with them the plunder we recovered." 1 Sam 30:22  David responds with such conviction, "No, my brothers, you must not do that with what he Lord has given us....The share of the man who stayed with the supplies is to be the same as that of him who went down to the battle.  All will share alike." 1 Sam 30:23-25

Several months ago the Lord taught me a very important lesson about missions that He reminded me once again a couple of nights ago when I read this passage again.  Every dollar invested in Kyle's and my ministry, every young man and young woman who is transformed by the power the Holy Spirit through your prayers and our witness in Mexico, on the campus of Central Washington University and hopefully some day soon a new campus here in Ohio the giver is being as equally rewarded in the Kingdom of Heaven as we are.  We may be on the battle lines of the campus but your role is so crucial as well.  Thank you for your sacrificial giving and tenacity in prayer.  Jesus is real and He is coming back for His bride.  Let's TOGETHER get as many people ready for His return as possible!!!

We have the amazing opportunity and privilege to share about Chi Alpha and the direction the Lord is leading us on a morning radio station tomorrow at 7:30am.  Please pray for us to remain calm and not freak out, but also that we would be articulate :)  Please pray that more people than normal will be listening and that hearts will be moved to support our ministry.   Thanks everyone!!!
