The Ugly Month of December?

Someone must have forgotten to tell the Lord that December is suppose to be a slow month in support raising. With all the holiday planning and shopping and traveling and eating, who could have time to meet with a missionary?

Hopefully you're picking up on the sarcasm ;)  

God has been opening doors in the month of December! We tell people we are "working hard" but maybe you're wondering what that means in layman's terms.  Well, every week we have goals we try to meet: 48 phone calls, 12 contacts (whether via the phone, Facebook, email, etc.), 4 meetings made, 4 meetings kept, and $98 in new monthly support.  Whew!  Its a lot.  We have had great months, like September when we raised $405 in monthly support and we have had slow months like June (when Abigail was born) when we raised $0.  

It seems like a lot of people expect December to be a slow month but honestly Jesus is knocking it out of the park with meetings and service speaking opportunities!  We are thrilled :)  It's only December 8th and we have had 6 meetings, spoke at a church on a Sunday morning and booked another church service where we are the main speakers for March.  This week we have 2 meetings and a prayer service we are going to up in Cleveland.

Thank you for your faithful support and for all of the prayers!  Together we are witnessing the Lord provide for us and pushing us to get to Ohio University.  We are still praying for $390 to be raised in monthly support by the end of the year.
