SALT 2014 was filled with all kinds of emotions.
We were thrilled to be a part of the many campuses from Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Indiana, & Illinois. We were excited to lead a workshop (an hour long class that was taught 2x throughout the conference) about the value of life in regards to abortion, euthanasia, suicide, ect. We were disappointed that so many students still have a worldview that mirrors our culture in the US and not something grounded in scripture. We were inspired to persevere in our support raising. Sometimes, in life, when faced with something difficult we find ourselves asking "is this even worth it." Talking one on one with a student about her desire to commit suicide, seeing students pray for their friends and believing the Lord for breakthroughs and seeing other campus pastors who also spent 1+ years raising funds succeed and now on campus helped us put into perspective that no matter how long this process takes us -- IT IS WORTH IT. We need to raise another $900 in monthly support by April 1st to meet the deadline of being 60% complete. We are at 45% complete right now. Please pray for us as we are buckling down and pushing hard these next few months to make this deadline.
Thank you for your prayers, your words of encouragement, and your partnership in the Gospel.
